Shenzhen Design Week (SZDW) is a city-wide festival, programmed annually according to theme and focus. However, it will include some regular events and activities, such as the Theme Exhibition, the Guest City, the 

Shenzhen Global Design Award, the Keynote Forum, the Design Exhibition of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Creative Cities Network Exhibition, the Design Forum, etc. Happening during the course of about 10 days in different part of the city, SZDW attracts a large number of designers, design companies, media, and citizens.

深圳设计周是由深圳市政府主办，深圳市对外文化交流协会、深圳市设计之都推广办公室承办，深圳市设计之都推广促进会执行，国内外专业设计机构、深圳各设计行业协会、设计机构、设计院校、各区宣传文化系统协办的大型国际性设计盛会，于每年四月下旬举办，以“新时代 新设计”为口号，反映深圳这座城市对设计的追求。

首届深圳设计周于2017年4月成功举办，在全市16个文化创意场所举办设计活动45项，包括设计未来主题展等。来自18个国家的200余位设计师共同参与，展出设计作品2000余件，吸引观众10万余人次。
